"I would be most happy to help you,"
Sir Chainmail says. "Thank you, kind stranger. I hope that
I can repay you some day," the knight says. When Sir
Chainmail's castle comes into view, both men see that a band
of thieves waits to rob anyone who passes. "Can we get past
so many?" Sir Chainmail asks. "I know a way," the stranger
says. The two knights approach the thieves. "Your coins,
knights," a thief says. "We have no coins," the stranger says.
"We only have this valuable gold powder." "Give it here,"
another thief says. The stranger hands the thief a small bag,
and the thieves let them pass. "I am sorry that they took your
gold, but at least we are safe," Sir Chainmail says. "Yes," the
stranger says, "but they did not get any gold. I gave them a bag
of sand. They were very foolish." "Thank you, stranger. You have
repaid me," Sir Chainmail says. "Now we shall get you home." The End.
