Sir Chainmail is sent off to fight in the Crusades, a series of religious
wars that were waged roughly between the years 1000 and 1300. One
night, Sir Chainmail tries another path home to his castle. Read the
story below, then choose where you would like to go next until you
get to an ending. Then start again and try a different option-there
are six complete stories in all!

Sir Chainmail comes to a fork in the road. Neither path is familiar to him.
He thinks that there is more moonlight on the first path, so he starts down it.
But his horse whinnies and seems scared. Sir Chainmail tries to see what could
be bothering her, but even in the moonlight, the path is still quite dark.
