Monostatos Bring the chains to bind them with! (Slaves come with rope and chain.) Ghe, ihr Sklaven, kommt herbei! (Sklaven kommen mit Fesseln.) Papageno He who dares has all to win! Come, my chimes, let bells begin! Let the precious silver ring! Let the bells sound out and sing! (He plays on the bells. At once Monostatos and his slaves begin to dance and sing.) Wer viel wagt, gewinnt oft viel! Monostatos It sounds so happy, Sounds so gay! Larala la la larala! Lets sing and dance our time away! Larala la la larala! (They dance out.) |
