John D. Morse is a graduate of the University of Illinois. He has lectured on art history at several American universities. Mr. Morse has edited numerous art journals, including American Artist Magazine, Magazine of Art, and Art Quarterly. He has produced a television series for the Detroit Institute of Arts, and was editor of publications for the Art Students League of New York, and was an associate in radio for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and an instructor at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Presently, he is on the editorial board of the American Art Journal.
