Abbeville Press is an independent publisher of fine art and illustrated books founded in 1977 by Harry N. Abrams and Robert E. Abrams.

We are well known for our magnificent oversize art books, such the Audubon Society Baby Elephant Folio edition of Audubon's Birds of America; Norman Rockwell: 332 Magazine Covers; The Art of Rock: Posters from Presley to Punk; Greek and Roman Mosaics; The Grand Medieval Bestiary: Animals in Illuminated Manuscripts; and Naomi Rosenblum's World History of Photography, which is also widely adopted as a textbook.

Our numerous illustrated books in smaller formats include the Definitive Edition of Norman Rockwell's memoirs, My Adventures as an Illustrator, and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn with Norman Rockwell's illustrations; important exhibition catalogs such as Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away. and Enchanted: A History of Fantasy Illustration; select photography books including Ancient Trees: Portraits of Time by Beth Moon; and a select lifestyle list including Oysters: A Celebration in the Raw and The Cocktail Seminars.

Our new imprint Half Full publishes trade nonfiction books on topics of current yet enduring interest, such as Coach: The Greatest Teachers in Sports and Their Lessons for Us All and You Bet Your Life: Your Guide to Deadly Risk.

Our select list for parents and children includes the best-selling New Father series by Armin A. Brott, with more than two million copies in print; the World Soccer Legends series; and the mix-and-match book Flip-o-saurus and its sequels.

Our line of quality gifts and stationery includes the Tiny Folio series of miniature art books, many published in cooperation with leading museums, and a growing line of boxed notecard sets.

Now in the midst of our fifth decade of publishing, we issue approximately twenty new titles per year and are proud to work with many distinguished authors, artists, cultural institutions, and international publishers.
